This hybrid event will feature an author panel, “Building to a Climax” at 11:00am Eastern. Then at 1:00 pm Liberty States Fiction Writers will host Stephanie Moon for a presentation entitled “Marketing and Making Your Brand.”

AUTHOR PANEL: The author panel will feature Lori Robbins, Victoria Weisfield, Roberta Rogow and Eileen Watkins.
Lori Robbins is the author of the On Pointe and Master Class mystery series and a contributor to The Secret Ingredient: A Mystery Writers Cookbook. She won the Indie Award for Best Mystery and two Silver Falchions for Best Cozy Mystery. Short stories include “Leading Ladies” which was listed in the 2022 Best American Mystery and Suspense anthology. After ten lean years as a professional dancer, Lori became an English teacher and now writes full-time. She is co-president of the New York/ Tristate Sisters in Crime and an active member of Mystery Writers of America and the Short Mystery Fiction Society.
Nearly forty of Vicki Weisfeld’s short stories have appeared in leading mystery magazines and anthologies, winning awards from the Short Mystery Fiction Society and the Public Safety Writers Association. Her first mystery thriller, Architect of Courage, was published June 2022 by Black Opal Books and won an award from the Public Safety Writers Association. Roberta Rogow writes mysteries set in strange and unusual times and places, ranging from Ancient Babylon to a city somewhere on the other side of the Milky Way Galaxy. After many years of writing fan fiction, she broke into professional publication with a story in the Merovingen Nights series of sci-fi books in 1987. Since then, Roberta has written Sherlock Homes pastiches, historical novels, and alternate history. Her current series follows the cases of Pola Drach, Independent Eye, in the City of Lorr, (think V.I. Warshawsky on the other side of the sky). For 37 years, Roberta’s “day job” was Children’s Librarian at various public libraries in New Jersey. She retired in 2008 to travel and write.
Eileen Watkins writes the Cat Groomer Mysteries, including The Persian Always Meows Twice; The Bengal Identity; Feral Attraction; Gone, Kitty, Gone; Claw & Disorder and Night of the Were-Cat, for Kensington Publishing. Most have received Certificates of Excellence from the Cat Writers’ Association, and last year Claw & Disorder took the CWA’s top award in Mystery Fiction, the MUSE Medallion. Eileen previously published seven paranormal mystery and suspense novels with Amber Quill Press, and several won EPIC and Indie Book awards.

Over the years, Stephanie noticed a trend. Authors who had spent years researching and writing their book, did little to nothing to market their book. They left all the marketing and promotion to their publisher and wondered why their book wasn’t being shared with their favorite influencer and why sales were slower than they thought. Stephanie knew she had to change this and teach authors how to market and promote their book. This was the catalyst for creating the Master Your Book Marketing Program.
