Sisters in Crime/LA Member Appearances – March 2020

Here’s where you can see our members in person this coming month (and subsequent months), or where you can find them – or their content – in media outlets! It is updated throughout the month with last minute additions and changes, so keep checking back!

On Thursday, March 19, Anne Louise Bannon will present a talk on how to write a novel like The Secrets We Kept, at the Pasadena Public Library at 7 p.m. as part of the city’s One City, One Story celebration.

Jennifer Chow (MIMI LEE GETS A CLUE) and Tori Eldridge (THE NINJA DAUGHTER) discuss and sign their books at Book Carnival Bookstore on Saturday, March 21 at 2pm. 348 South Tustin Street, Orange, CA 92866.

Tori Eldridge reads an excerpt of her Lefty Award nominated debut mystery novel, THE NINJA DAUGHTER, at Noir at the Bar on March 29, 7pm at the Mandrake Bar in Los Angeles – 2692 La Cienega Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90034.

Sheila Lowe will speak at the Madonna Inn on March 7th to the Central Coast chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma. She will demonstrate how her character, Claudia Rose, analyzes the handwriting of victims and suspects in her Forensic Handwriting series. She’ll also introduce Proof of Life, from her new Beyond the Veil Mysteries.

On Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 9 pm, Joan Renner  will be interviewed by Dave Schrader on his radio show Midnight in the Desert. To listen live, follow the LINK.

Laurie Stevens and Jeri Westerson will launch their new releases at Book Carnival (348 S Tustin St, Orange, CA92866) on March 28th at 2 pm. Jeri’s “Moonrisers” kicks off her new werewolf series, and Laurie’s “In Twilight’s Hush” marks the 4th book in her Gabriel McRay series. Both are paranormal, so come prepared for fun, food, & the supernatural. We’d love to see you there!

Festival of Books Signing Booth Sign Ups

Greetings, everyone.

Here is the form to sign up for your opportunity to sign your titles at the upcoming Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, Saturday and Sunday, April 13 to 14.  Slots will be assigned on a first come, first served basis, and we will probably have a waiting list – but don’t despair. We often get cancellations.

Signups are now closed. We look forward to seeing you at the Festival.

The Sisters in Crime Visit LitFest

Authors Pamela Samuels Young, Anne Louise Bannon and Connie diMarco gave a workshop at the recent LitFest Pasadena. The venue was small and way off the beaten path. But we still packed ’em in!

It was all about Building Your Female Sleuth – and we couldn’t have had three more different styles of character building. Which is great because nobody does anything the same way.

Thanks to LitFest Pasadena for giving us the opportunity.

If you need a speaker for your next event, be sure to check the Speaker’s Bureau page for more information.
